Changing the face of rail safety, with engineered safety solutions.

The demographics of rail fatalities has changed, reducing the effectiveness of current inhibitory methods

The rail industry faces an ongoing challenge in protecting individuals at risk of self-harm on the tracks. The Anti-Suicide Capture Device (ASCD) offers a groundbreaking solution by combining advanced energy absorption technology with a safety cell, effectively reducing rail fatalities.

This innovative system can function as a standalone measure or be integrated with monitored networks, significantly enhancing rail safety. By preventing direct impact and safeguarding trespassers, the ASCD provides unparalleled protection while reinforcing safety across the entire rail network.

Enclasp Mission Statement:

Founded in 2018, Enclasp Pty Ltd aims to become a global leader in trespasser safety systems for the rail and light rail industries by integrating its ASCD technology throughout the world.

About Enclasp Pty Ltd.

Over the past 7 years Enclasp has been developing the ASCD (Anti-suicide Capture Device) in research partnership with Swinburne University of Technology Melbourne Australia, to impede open track fatalities on both rail and light rail.

The ASCD is designed to protect lives in the event of trespasser-train collisions on the open track. Installed on the front of both new and existing trains, when deployed the ASCD is capable of providing impact absorption at speeds of up to 120 km/h. Its patent-pending "capture cell" securely encapsulates trespassers upon impact, preventing further injury until the train comes to a safe stop. Once stationary, the individual can be released and provided with immediate medical assistance. This breakthrough technology marks a significant advancement in rail safety and impact mitigation.

The ASCD is compact and specifically designed for seamless integration into both new and existing trains, (provided the fitment criteria are met).
